Mystery Jam Monday Part 125

Posted 2 years ago by lumpblockclod - 67 comments Link: http://phi.sh/b/50c55e96, posted in the Audio category (1565 listens)

For the 125th time, welcome to Mystery Jam Monday here at Phish.net. As usual we will be playing for an MP3 download, courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). A hint will be posted on Tuesday (if necessary) and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...

Tuesday Hint:

Wednesday Answer: Congrats to donatello for being the first to guess the 5/8/94 "Antelope" from The Day After the Bomb (Factory). That said, the win was hint-aided, so the Blog will count that as a moral victory. The Blog will be back on Monday with yet another Mystery Jam for your listening pleasure.

When I heard it, I immediately thought of the "After Midnight" from Big Cypress. 12/31/99 I think is the date. I doubt it is correct but I'll throw it out there... my first guess on MJM.

TinEye confirms this suspicion. Wish I had thought to do the reverse image search instead of just assuming it was 5/7/94!

Funny because when I first saw the mushroom cloud, I thought they were referring to a New Mexico show since that is where they did the first nuclear bomb testing. Ironically, they played a NM show right after the 5/8 show.

Very enjoyable mystery jam. May 94 was a GREAT month, especially those West Coast shows.
