Welcome to Mystery Jam Monday Part 108 here at Phish.net. As usual, we will be playing for an MP3 download, courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). A hint will be posted on Tuesday (if necessary) and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...

Thursday Answer: Looks like we have another first-time winner... Congrats to Beenjammin84 for nailing the 6/12/09 "Kill Devil Falls," a 3.0 jam that seemed to fool quite a few people. The Blog will be back on Monday with the 109th Mystery Jam.

It's in the right key for a Reba jam and it sure sounds like 1999 to me... I haven't confirmed my answer yet but with that show being 13 years ago today I felt like LBC was sending me secret messages.

Yeah, sounds like '99 to me, but I base that mostly on how Trey's using his Whammy pedal (kind of like the Camden Chalkdust)...I just can't recall a Reba with a segment like this. Did Trey use the Whammy on many Reba jams? If it is Reba, I'll be quite anxious to hear the version.

its the 15min KDF from roo 09 im almost certain, it sounds just like the bridge that transitions into the last 3 min of > Free, although sloppy in spots, this is the longest KDF any probably most type 2, now in 2012, looking back on early 2009 summer, there were few highlights, but KDF from the 1set Bonnaroo show is actually a great jam.

I listened earlier and I figured someone would get it by the time I got home. You have to give credit to Phish.net for trying. Bonanaroo show and that '99 sound. Take a 30 second snippet from a 90 or 91 show and see how people fare.

sounds like 2.0 to me, maybe something from Round Room.
maybe a 2002 Waves or walls of the cave. just a shot in the dark.
Could be a 2.0 reba too.

Oh god, was @MiguelSanchez the only one who could tell I was kidding? No, it doesn't have that 99 sound. No, it doesn't have that 2.0 sound. Not sure how people were hearing a Reba or Birds. I was digging through 2009 and 2010 Lights.

I hear the Trek theme too! Maybe it's just because I'm a nerd and like some star trek every now and then but the beginning of the jam I def hear the opening theme song teased twice
