Monday? Time for the Mystery Jam. As usual, we will be playing for an MP3 download courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). The hint will come on Tuesday and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck...

Tuesday Hint: Choda is probably closest.

Wednesday Answer: In a bit of near-Instant Karma, Pauly7917 is our winner, correctly identifying the 9/20/00 "It's Ice." Nice work, Pauly! Be honest though, how long many times did you check your entry before hitting "submit"? The Blog should point out, however, that while it may be a bit misleading to call this a hint-aided victory (since there wasn't much of a hint), the MJ did stand tall for over 24 hours which seems like the Blog's best showing in months. See you all next Monday.

i gave you high praise last week, but i think you're off this week mr. nugs. i don't think it's the polaris boaf. i could be rusty on that one. i do the ghost> free from that show way more than the boaf. plus, i believe it was a mystery jam answer a couple of months ago. it was one that i was really pissed i missed. although, that mj could have been the ghost...

benhatleyyeah, i haven't popped that jibboo in yet, but now that i think about it, it stays fairly close the the jibboo theme, at least as close as you can in a 30 or so minute song.

andrewroseDefinitely screamed 99 at first, but this could easily be a 98 as well. Was thinking a big Jim at first, but it doesn't seem to be Starlake 98 or Oswego 99. Reminiscent of Lemonwheel ambient set for a second there too. This is killing me, I know this jam...

Amen to that! I heard mad 99-00 and actually won out, finding a lost (for me) 12-15-99 Gin or 12-7 maybe, but it was sick and I was just so happy for having found it again, thanks blog!
