It took a lot of convincing, but Elektra finally came around to the idea that Phish is not a hit-single-and-MTV kind of band. We could stop putting out records and continue to grow.

Really? It took Elektra that long to figure this out? HA HA HA Phish breaks much more than molds. MTV is for Britneys and Gagas. Phish is for us! At least maybe Elextra has realized what REAL music and true genius is. They aren't a "band". They are an enigma wrapped in one huge phenomenal awesome vibe.

As of 95' they had been around for 12 years, so its not like they were new or anything...
