Party bus from NYC to PNC, fare $49

Those NYC concertgoers going to the May 31 and June 1 Phish shows at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel can skip the drive, traffic and hassle and jump on the Rocks Off "Party Bus."

According to Rocks Off, "We are running an air-conditioned, bathroom-equipped, sound system & flatscreen-rockin party bus from NYC to and from the shows, so you don't need to worry about finding a ride, staying sober, dealing with the scumbags on public transportation (or the crowded-ass shuttle buses back to the NJT station after the show), or even learning where the hell "Holmdel, New Jersey" actually is. Really, all you've gotta do is buy a ticket, show up, stumble into and out of the venue, and we'll take care of the rest - don't that sound like it's worth a little money spent on your peace of mind? (And not having to draw straws to see which one of your friends has to stay sober at a Phish show)."

Tickets are $49 plus shipping (mail for only 25 cents) for each night. More information and links for online ordering is available from the Rocks Off/TicketWeb website here. The bus will run to and from the Hammerstein Ballroom - 34th Street and 8th Avenue. Boarding begins at 4:45pm, and the bus will leave at 5pm PROMPTLY.

My wife Kat and I and some of our Phish friends were "bus guides" on a memorable trip from Shea Stadium and other cities to Lemonwheel in Limestone, Maine. It was an unforgettable and fun trip. That year, Phish partnered with a bus tour company offering rides to the festival from many cities in the Northeast. It's never happened again (probably due to no bus tour company taking on the mission), but it would be a great idea.

Maybe you should suggest it to the Rocks Off people, especially if you know other NYC people who'd be interested? Feel free to start a forum thread and organize this on the forum!

@jackl I am from the mid-west so I don't know that many kids out east and I am flying solo to Superball. I was planning on taking mega-bus out on Thursday to Binghamton and meeting up with some friends. I have never planned something like that. Could you pm the info and the right guy to talk to at Rock Off

hey im a little confused is it a bus for both nights or just one each and do they have a bus going back to nyc? im planning to go to pnc through bus and camp a night and head home the after the next show. can someone help me out!

The bus trips are round trips back and forth each night to NYC/Hammerstein Ballroom.

Looks like you would have to buy tickets for each night (they are sold separately one round trip each day) and just not use the trip back on night one if you wanted to stay over -- if that's what you're asking...

I'm also going down to PNC and returning the following night so I'm doing this: Party bus sounds fun though.

if only some clever person thought about the people staying a night and returning the net day instead of paying 100 to get back and forth from pnc u only party going up not coming down haha whatever though ill party the way up and hitchhike my way home

i agree..raised in Matawan 1 mile from GSAC, live on the UES now. I tried to get to Harrison last week and it took close to 3 hours. 5pm could be cutting it close. I would love to see a 3pm ride, but still very interested. I'm sure we could get enough folks that would love to hit the lots early and fill 1 bus no problemo. Anyway Rocks Off could look into that - i'd gladly round up a bunch of clowns. But without a doubt very cool idea. Kudos

i second that 3pm bus notion...but this bus is lookin mighty fine if that doesn't play out. me and my two babes are poppin our phish cherries at PNC!! what better way to start an epic night than on a bus with a bunch of phans..yeeewwww. to buy or not to buy?
