Mystery Jam Monday Part 39

Posted 1 year ago by lumpblockclod - 13 comments Link: http://phi.sh/b/4d6b23a1, posted in the Audio category (478 listens)

The Blog returns with the 39th installment of the Mystery Jam series. Just like every week, we will be playing for an MP3 download courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. The rules haven't changed: you need to correctly identify the song and the date to win. Post your guess in the comments. One guess per person per day (with the second “day” starting after I post the hint). The hint will come on Tuesday and the answer will be posted on Wednesday. Good luck....

Late Tuesday Hint: Another week where we really don't need a hint. Sigh.

Wednesday Answer: 8/10/04 "Birds of a Feather." For any of you who may have thought that Phish couldn't bring it in 2.0, the defense rests. Congrats to RabeldyNugs for nailing it within 10 minutes of it being posted. Quite impressive. The Blog will be back on Monday with MJXL.

mikh2wgNugs seems pretty confident about Birds. I don't think I've ever heard this jam before. Pretty sure I would remember that guitar lick. But I'm gonna guess anyway: the Lemon Wheel Ghost.

RabeldyNugsNice!

This definetly is a great jam with a couple levels to it that I don't really think the boys intended to go as far as they did. I am just pysched that they did. The Bag opener ain't too shabby either...

'lumpblockclod' said it best: "the defense rests."

PYITEXL, huh? You better bring it. This out of the gate identification should not be tolerated!

What is the official tally on Blog vs. User victory anyway?

benhatleycongrats rab! i was absolutely stumped on this one. i think i only listened to this show 2-3 times. i had written august '04 as a wash, but this makes me want to give it another shot. i still think i'll be a bit distraught over most of those shows, but i do remember digging their outing at great woods.

next week...it's mine...unless, of course, it's not...

Actually the Blog has 4 victories, good sir. Which doesn't sound like a lot, but it's more than any of the users! Number five coming up next week.

Gauntlet, thrown.

LBC - looks like the gauntlet wasn't thrown too hard for MJXL.....lol. Good luck on MJ41, as I await the challenge.
